So I went to hot yoga tonight...
And I fell asleep before class started not once.
Not twice.
But 3 times before class began. I woke up each time to a snort. And then giggled at myself and told myself not to do that again. Haha.
OOOPS.
Today was a wonderful day.

Here's why:
- Got 23/24 on my first midterm of the year
- Talked to Pat and realized I actually have a friend in my classes
- I ate a Crave cupcake. (I still most definitely like Fuss better)
- I watched It's always Sunny in Philadelphia
- My lab was ridiculously easy
- People were talking about me in my lab... I don't know whether it was good things or bad things, but the one guy was talking to the girl and they kept looking at me and were blatantly looking at me... Hmmm
- I checked my interviews for my next co-op term and I got the interview for Golder! It is a company I interviewed for the first work term I had, but if I get a job with them this time, it could lead to future employment, in the case that I decide to follow through with engineering/love the people and the job a whole bunch.
- I went to hot yoga and had a great workout.
- I set up in the corner and mirrors behind and right beside me, and I looked at myself and was super proud of how I look. My muscles are becoming more defined and my belly is flatter?
- I don't have anything else to do today, but I'm probably going to watch Jersey Shore!!!

So I talked to Jenn, my roommate about getting a work visa to Australia, and apparently she already got one last year! It is as simple as filling out a form online and then you're good to go.
Soooo.... I'm going to Australia. Next September. I'm going to talk to the UG advisor at school to make sure I can actually do that given what my program requires. And then if it is A-OK, I'm going away for a year. Come back to school in September 2013, and finish off my school, graduating in 2014.
Eeeeeeeee!!! This is insanity. I can't wait to figure this stuff out :)

I now have 3 interviews:
2 for City of Edmonton and 1 for Dialog (a consulting firm also in Edmonton). I hope I ace one of these so I get a job in first round AND in Edmonton. Only problem is the City of Edmonton ones don't pay well. But they have good normal office hours where I will have a ton of time to do other things (choir and working still at united cycle!).
I think Dialog will pay a decent amount since they are a small private firm. Probably good hours and more exciting than a city job. I guess we'll see!

I am an emotional wreck. Haha.
I'm so back and forth that it's absolutely ridiculous.
I'm sad, then I'm happy, then I'm angry.
I don't even know what to feel.
Better to feel everything than nothing at all?
Here are the things currently going on in my mind.
I am done all 5 assignments that are due this week to the fullest extent in which I know how to do them. I'm relieved yet stressed because I think I did a good majority of it wrong.
I don't know what to do about Josh. I like him, but I feel disappointed every time the day after the date rolls around. I don't even know how to explain it. Like maybe I am in this for the wrong reasons. Do I even like him or do I just like the idea of him? Our date on Friday was really fun, but I felt weirded out about it on Saturday when I woke up.. And stressed out about it. Maybe something was missing from it? I don't even know. And I feel like I'm waiting around for him to text me so I know I have control of this whole situation. Relationships are a signal of power for me because I love knowing I can get what I want... NOT the reason I should be in one. I need to be single again. And I know I'm mostly single right now, but knowing Josh is there is holding me back. I'm single again. I need to be. I need to be myself and stop waiting around for guys. I'm too young for that crap. I need to come first.
Yesterday I cried myself to bed. Why? I have no clue. It bothers me that I feel like I need to cry in order to feel better. I do it once every few months for absolutely no reason at all. I'll just feel unbearably sad and end up crying for no reason at all. Is that even normal? It's not that I feel sad about anything in particular, it's just an overwhelming feeling in my chest. How strange is that?
Whatever. Today I don't feel much at all. I feel numb again. I don't understand myself. I need to find happiness, but it's so much further away than I thought it originally was.

Summary of my date with Josh:
Picked him up at his home and went to Mongolie Grill!
YUM YUM YUM. I got a stir fry with broccoli, onions, pepper, sprouts, mushrooms, and noodles! Coconut curry and szechuan sauce on my stir fry. SOOO TASTY. I love the rice wraps there.
Josh knew the hostess and then a guy came in with his family and he knew that guy too. Haha. He was like, "I'm on a date" to both of them. Wow. Awkward. I was like, um... glad you're happy we're on a date?
So then our dinner went til like 7 40 so we couldn't make it to an early movie. So we went back to his place. I talked to his mom while he sat in the basement. Haha. I love old(er) people. They are fun and exciting to talk to. His mom makes soap and jewelry out of silverware and sells it at the farmer's market here in town! So cool! She told me how to make soap and it sounds pretty interesting.
We watched Man vs. Food in his basement. OMG. That guy is insane. He ingested 6 pounds of fritatta for one episode and then 5 pounds of a combo of burger, hot dog, fries, soda and milkshake in 20 minutes. WTF.
Then we went to the late show of Moneyball. Well acted, good script, well directed and everything, it just didn't have an interesting storyline to me. Haha. So respectable but boring. Haha. Kind of like Wall-E was a total bust for me. Josh fell asleep in the movie. Also he is really loud and makes a scene whenever he is anywhere. Kind of funny but I don't want to be that girl with the obnoxious loud guy!
Finally, we went back to his home and I listened to him and his dad exchange pot smoking stories. Plus his dad told me about how he goes and samples soils for his job which is slightly interesting because I kind of want to go into soils for my specialty in civil engineering. We watched some weird movie on Netflix where I proceeded to fall asleep on the couch until 6 30 a.m. HAHA. Oops.
Overall, fun night. Plus he wore a nice button up on our date. At least he tried to look good for me :)

I feel so mature these days.
I've finally hunkered down and have time management skills.
I finished most of one of my assignments today even though it isn't due until next Tuesday.
I have 4 assignments due every Tuesday and one due on Wednesdays.
SOOO... I am going to have to do almost one assignment a day to keep up with the times.
So much work, but I think I can totally do it.
Work was fun tonight. Did nothing but clean up and 'recover' the activewear section. It was dead dead dead inside the store. Haha.
I have a math review quiz on Friday. Going home on Friday! EEEEEEEE!
I cannot wait! :)
Date with Josh on Friday, lunch with Layla on Saturday, Amanda's Bday celebration on Saturday night :) Then getting a ride with Ty back to Edmonton, partying like an animal Saturday night, work Sunday, do homework. It's gonna be a busy weekend!

It's complicated? I'm kind of seeing Josh. We hang out when he comes here and we will when I go home this weekend. But we aren't dead set on being in a relationship, although my desire to hit on other boys has decreased a lot because I do like him. He would call me his girlfriend and I would probably say he's a guy I'm seeing but I think we both realize it isn't anything serious, so we'll take it each day at a time. I don't want to be held back by a relationship, because that's not what I want my life to revolve around.

My weekend summed up in point form (as usual it seems these days)
Friday- finished class at 10 a.m. Slept and went to hot yoga. Went out with Rachelle and just hung out at Sherlocke's, had a few drinks, ate deep fried pickles, went home. Tyler called me and I talked to him on the phone for an hour while he was completely hammered and we literally talked about NOTHING. But it was entertaining at the time.
Saturday- worked 11-5 30. It was crazy busy because of the birthday sale. Shoes for $83.83 for an hour and 23 minutes starting at noon. I was running around like crazy until around 3 when people started clearing out of the store. Found out Josh was coming to Edmonton to watch a football game. Met him at Clarke Stadium to watch the Edmonton Huskies take on the Edmonton Wildcats. It was fun. Him and his friends acted like fools which 100% reminded me of high school. Haha. As bad as it seems, I enjoy being immature and pretending that I am also 18. Josh came over until about 1am after the game. We watched Zoolander. Then he left and met up with his friends at Lucky 13.
Sunday- woke up and went to the Terry Fox Run. It felt sooo good to run 10k and not feel completely and utterly fatigued. My legs are a bit sore but my breath and legs didn't feel like they were going to die. It was awesome! Got some cake after the run and then left. Found out I forgot my choir music at home so I went home to grab it and eat lunch before rushing off to Choral Fair 2011. Performed and then watched another 2 and a half hours of choirs singing. The Edmonton Youth Choir is FABULOUS. They sang a song called Sarah and it was heaven to my ears. Did homework when I got home.
Now I'm sitting on the couch watching random TV. Pretty good weekend overall :)

School is so lame!
My back hurts because I think I am kind of sick which totally sucks because Terry Fox Run is in a few days. I hope I recover to run it. Otherwise, I'll have to walk it.
I slept for 10 hours last night.
Long day today. School from 8 to 5 with an hour and a half break and then work from 5 15 to 9 15.
Busy busy!
Easy day tomorrow. Class from 8 to 10 and then no plans afterwards. 3 assignments to do and apply for jobs.
Hopefully I can get some shiz done and recover from my illness.

I'm walking to choir and the leaves are yellow.

How I long for the autumn breeze but dread the winter's cold.

Got ready in about 10 minutes and then hopped on the bus to get to school.

Worked on Friday starting at 5. Sat through lame-o powerpoints and met some cool people at orientation.
Had a drink with Amanda, Liz, and Kate at O'Byrnes.
Ate junk at home and went to bed.
Worked at 10 on Saturday. Sat through more powerpoints, then got to work on the floor.
Learned about the different types of feet and how to analyze a person's foot posture in order to match them with a good pair of shoes.
Learned that I have neutral feet even though my feet are very flat (little to no arch) which is a very uncommon occurence. I can wear the 'bare foot' runners and they should feel really good. I will buy a pair soon.
Worked until 5 30. Home and watched Jersey Shore until 7 30 when I went to pick up Jeff's car to go to the casino and volunteer.
Counted cash twice and saw a whole bunch of money in front of my eyes.
Went downtown to pick up Josh from his friend's and we hung out for the night at my apartment.
Woke up and dropped Josh off at his friend's place.
Dropped off Jeff's car at Lister.
Worked out: 8k in total with a full upper body arm workout
Pretty good weekend! Jenn (my roommate) asked me if I was on speed or something to give me this much energy to be on the go so much. Haha.
I think I'm ready for the Terry Fox Run.
That 8k (although split into 3 legs) didn't feel bad at all.

Donated blood today!
My iron level has gone from 99 to 146 in the last 2 months! Awesome :)
It took me 6 minutes to fill up my pint.
Tried to go get a new phone but the guy told me I had to pay to cancel my old contract before I can start a new one, which would cost me about 200 bucks. So instead, I'm going to wait until my phone actually dies and get a replacement one sent to me through my 'insurance' plan.
Then when my contract expires in a year and a half, I'll get a new phone. Sounds good to me!
Working today at 5. I guess Jeff (the human resources guy at United Cycle) liked me so much he doesn't care enough to wait for my references. I guess he tried to contact them a few times and they were playing phone tag, so when he called me yesterday, he offered me the job and told me that even though he hasn't checked my references, he wants to hire me anyways and hopes it's not a mistake. Haha. Yay for me making a good first impression.
Now it's 30 degrees outside right now, so I'm going to sit on my balcony and drink iced green tea and read.

School is lame already.
I barely made it through my 2 classes this morning.
I felt like crap because I went out drinking last night.
I took about a 3 hour nap today and feel much better.
Am out shopping with Autumn at West Ed.
I bought a big forest green sweater and a bright red toque :)

Went to hot yoga.
The studio is completely surrounded in mirrors.
No natural light and the temperature was Hot Hot Hot!
Not my favorite class ever but I think I will go on Thursday and check out a different class.
Feeling kind of sick still. I wonder why.
Too much drinking and not enough water. Hehe.
School starts tomorrow.

Haha. I forgot to mention that I got called the female Chaidi of work.
Chaidi is my favorite person that I got meet. He was freaking hilarious and energetic and bubbly. Everyone loved him. Haha. I'm so honored that someone would even call me that. AWESOME. I'm glad I made a good impression at work!

Hey y'all!
I haven't blogged in forever.
Here's the update on my life... Well most of it. (Other things I can't tell you :p)
I finished work on Wednesday! Hurray!
I laughed at Steve because he found out he had appendicitis and got his appendix taken out on Monday. Now his beer gut is even larger than before!
Josh took me out on a date to sushi on Wednesday and it was fun. He is a cutie patootie.
I moved into my apartment in Edmonton on Thursday. It's beautiful! And I can't wait to actually live there in a few days. So conveniently located!
I had a job interview on Thursday at United Cycle and they basically told that I have the job. They just have to do reference checks and then they will call me back on Tuesday or Wednesday to let me know. Orientation is Friday and Saturday.
I had a sleepover with Layla and Bretton Thursday night after my family barbecue. It was one of my favorite birthdays because it was low key and I got to spend it with loved ones :) I learned things about those 2 girls that I didn't really know before which was awesome.
I saw Layla's dad in the hospital. He had a near fatal car accident a few weeks ago, but he luckily survived and has recovered really well and should be going home in the next week or so.
I went to Edmonton with Amanda to see her friends Janice, Jody, Kate, and Lizzie. They are a great group of girls. We went to Julio's and ate yummy food and I drank margaritas! Then we went to Diamond's! My favorite place :p I won a magnet and a poster. Hurray!
Today I am heading to Banff with Amanda, Jody, and Jody's boyfriend Andrew. We are going hiking at some point in time :)
